Terms of service

These terms cover your use of emailfortify.com and its API (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

We check email addresses and domains and report what we find. Results describe what mail servers told us at the time of the check; they are estimates, not guarantees that mail will or won’t be delivered.

Your account

Keep your password and API keys secret; you are responsible for use of your account and keys. You must be at least 16 and give a working email address.

Acceptable use

You may only verify addresses you have a lawful basis to email, and you must follow our acceptable use policy. We may suspend accounts that break it, without refund.

Plans and payment

Paid plans renew monthly through PayPal until cancelled. Credits reset each calendar month (UTC) and don’t roll over. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Data

See the privacy policy. Uploaded lists and results are deleted 30 days after upload.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or sender reputation.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll post the new version here and, for material changes, email account holders.
